The wordplay and fantasy of the band members allow to create opposites of known sayings or word forms or other association raising titles, such as "Capitol Punishment", "Punishment of Life", "Crime Pays", etc., which can only amplify the interest of potential listeners in listening to the album or even buying it. The places mentioned in the albums and the reasons for punishment are quite conventional, e.g. Expressions of punishment in the time category, as well as different descriptions of the sentence constitute broad groups.
The characterization of the punishments, as well as names of the crimes, rarely falls within legal terminology, which is why the author of the present research indicates the number of groups, naming the punishment or its type. The study aims to characterize the titles of metal music albums, which include concepts of crime and punishment. Abstract: Metal music is associated with violation of a certain standard of behaviour, violation of borders involving both musicians and listeners, thereby creating an inextricably linked relationship between music, crime and punishment, which may be the reason for these concepts to appear in album titles.
